Hitting out at the opposition, PM Modi said “I can understand the pain of some who lost despite peddling lies all through,” the Prime Minister said. Stating that appeasement had destroyed the nation, PM Modi said “We followed ‘santushtikaran’ not ‘tushtikaran’; our motto has been justice for all, appeasement to none.”
Modi spoke about his government’s welfare schemes and highlighted his government’s fight against corruption.
“When we had won in 2014, we had said our slogan was zero tolerance towards corruption. I am proud that the common people, who were reeling under corruption and the country had been hollowed out before 2014, have blessed us for our zero tolerance for corruption,” the PM said.
