Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Chandrika Dixit Gera, also known as the Vadapav girl, caused quite a stir inside the house after her entry. The social media sensation shocked everyone by revealing that she earns Rs 40,000 per day by selling Vadapav. During a recent chat with ETimes TV after her eviction, Chandrika clarified her statement and revealed if she gets offended by trolls who judge her for flaunting expensive phones and cars but refusing to pay taxes.
Speaking about her per month income, she said, “Yes, it is true but I don’t think everyone watched the entire thing. When I was running a business through a cart, it was not about the shop, because I hadn’t been to see how much the shop was making as I went inside the show. From the time I’ve come out I’ve been asking my husband Yash if the business is fine down toh nahi Gaya? But he’s not revealing it so now when I go there I’ll get to know about it.”
She further added how everyone witnesses the hype but nobody tries to understand the hard work, “When I was working on a stall, I struggled a lot but I agree that in the last 5 months, the sales had gone up. I want to say if I made Rs 30-40 k every month, people should also have information about how much I invested in the business. Rs 25,000 ki toh vegetables aati thi Aur main maatha pakad ke Baithi thi. I was shocked to hear the rising prices of chillies, ginger, garlic and onions. You won’t believe it, but everyday at my place our staff peels around 10 kilos of garlic. I pay rent, give a salary to my workers. Why is that not considered? Only how much I’m selling is counted but my investment is not seen. I only get Rs 10,15 k a month and that I’m making for my son and to run my family. My entire family is involved in running this business. Why can no one see all this?. Agar main Kisi se cheen rahi hoti toh Chandrika galat hai but I’m working hard and I don’t see any problem in it,” he said,
When asked if he gets affected by the trolls for flaunting expensive and cars but refuses to pay for her cart, it’s parking and taxes, she said, “As far as roaming around in cars is concerned, I would like to say I only have a small car and I stay at a rented house and I’m happy in life. But people only can see that I’m living in luxury. Yes, I have an iPhone, pehle bhi tha ab bhi hai. I am waiting for the latest IPhone 16. Apne Shauk pure karti hoon.”
