Mumbai Woman Files Gangrape Complaint, Mysteriously Goes Missing | Mumbai News – Times of India


Mumbai: The MRA Marg police are searching for a 29-year-old woman who had lodged a gangrape complaint with the police. The woman was admitted to a social center in Central Mumbai, but when police reached there, she was nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, police are scanning CCTV footages to trace two accused persons.
A city police officer said that as per the FIR initially registered at the CSMT railway police station, the incident took place around 10 days ago.The woman stated in her complaint that she was near CSMT railway station on that night when two unidentified men approached her, took her to a nearby footpath and raped her.
The railway police had admitted the woman to a social center in Central Mumbai after the FIR. When a Mumbai police team reached there, the woman was not present, said a police officer. “We are now searching for the accused, and the victim too. We are scanning CCTV footages to get a lead in the case,” said the officer. The woman, according to the police, had not provided her complete address.
