Deepak Aras, a well-known director in the Kannada film industry and brother of actress Amulya, has passed away due to kidney failure. He breathed his last on Thursday (October 17) around 7 PM.
Deepak had been undergoing treatment for kidney failure, which included dialysis, but unfortunately, the medical interventions were not effective. His untimely demise left behind the grieving Amulya family, who are known for their contributions to the Sandalwood film industry.
Deepak Aras was recognized for his work in Kannada cinema contributing in some of the notable films like ‘Manasology‘ and ‘Sugar Factory‘.
‘Sugar Factory’, directed by Deepak Aras, is a romantic comedy-drama that was released on November 24, 2023. The film revolves around the pub culture in Goa and follows the story of Arya, played by Darling Krishna, and Adithi Bopanna, portrayed by Sonal Monteiro.
He also directed the film ‘Manasology’ which starred his sister Amulya and Rakesh. In the film, Shihi, who is a violin player, falls in love with Manas after speaking with him over the phone. Later the plot takes a drastic twist when his father chooses to hide the news from her.
Amulya, who gained fame as a child actress and later transitioned into leading roles, has often expressed pride in her brother’s accomplishments. The siblings shared a close bond, and Deepak’s passing is a significant losas for her and their family.
