Abhishek Bachchan, despite having multiple films lined up now, once had doubts about his acting abilities. He recently shared how he went to his father, Amitabh Bachchan, to confess his feelings of uncertainty.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Abhishek reflected on a challenging phase in his career when many of his films failed, and critics harshly criticised his performances, despite working with top directors.Feeling defeated, he confided in his father, Amitabh Bachchan, expressing doubts about his abilities as an actor and even considered stepping away from the industry.
Junior Bachchan recalled how Big B reassured him during his tough time. Amitabh advised him to focus on continuous improvement, emphasizing that he had potential but needed to keep working hard to refine his craft. Abhishek took this advice to heart, accepting every role, no matter how small, until he regained his confidence and eventually proved himself as a leading actor once again.
Abhishek Bachchan has always considered his father, Amitabh Bachchan, as his “reference point.” Amitabh, like his son, experienced success later in his career. After seven consecutive films failed, he finally found stardom with the 1973 hit Zanjeer, which marked the beginning of his iconic role as the Angry Young Man in Hindi cinema.
