NEW DELHI: A terrifying incident unfolded at a fair in Uttar Pradesh when a 13-year-old girl was seen hanging precariously from a high Ferris wheel.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in Rakehti village, located in the Nighasan area of Lakhimpur Kheri district, approximately 130 kilometres from Lucknow.
As the Ferris wheel began to move, the girl lost her balance and slipped out of her gondola, leaving her clinging to an iron rod.
The girl remained dangling for about a minute before the operator managed to bring the Ferris wheel to a halt and safely rescue her.
According to sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Rajiv Nigam, the girl is unharmed, and action has been taken against the Ferris wheel operator.
