PATNA: The prime accused in the murder of Patna’s B N College student Harsh Raj was arrested on Tuesday. The accused has been identified as Chandan Kumar, a final year student of Patna College, police said.
Chandan confessed to his crime during interrogation, said City SP (East) Bharat Soni. “He had hatched the plan to kill Raj over an old enmity between two students’ groups,” he said.
The 22-year-old final year student was beaten to death by 10 to 15 masked youths in the parking lot of Patna Law College on Monday.
Police have identified the other miscreants, which includes some Patna University students. Raids are being conducted in Patna and other districts to nab the rest. Their criminal history is also being checked, said the SP.
