NEW DELHI: Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled to be held between June 26 and June 28 has been postponed. The revised dates for exam will be announced later.
This comes amidst the NEET, UGC-NET fiasco that has brought paper leaks and fairness to the limelight. NEET, a crucial examination for medical students, has faced intense scrutiny regarding its fairness and reliability in the selection process for undergraduate medical seats.The 2024 NEET exam, coinciding with the general elections, has been marred by various controversies that have captured political attention.

Serious concerns have been raised about the integrity of the examination, with allegations of question paper leaks, inconsistencies in the marking process, and an unusually high number of candidates achieving perfect scores. These issues have sparked public debate and raised doubts about the credibility of the selection process.
Furthermore, the decision to grant grace marks to candidates affected by paper-related problems has added fuel to the controversy. The early announcement of the results on June 4, deviating from the scheduled date of June 14, also raised suspicions and contributed to the overall atmosphere of uncertainty surrounding the examination.
Following the NEET controversy, The UGC-NET June 2024 examination, conducted by National Testing Agency, was cancelled following concerns about the integrity of the exam. A new examination will be scheduled, and the matter has been referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough investigation.
