Affection & gratitude! Shah Rukh Khan kisses Gautam Gambhir in elation of KKR’s victory – Watch | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner displayed his affection and gratitude towards the team’s mentor Gautam Gambhir with a heartfelt kiss after KKR secured their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title.
The emotional moment unfolded amid the jubilant celebrations that followed KKR’s remarkable eight-wicket triumph in the IPL 2024 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai.
The kiss shared between Shah Rukh and Gambhir symbolized the deep bond and respect they have developed over the years. It was a gesture that encapsulated the emotions of the moment – the elation of victory, the pride in the team’s achievements, and the gratitude towards Gambhir’s unwavering dedication.

As the KKR team won the title, the stadium erupted in cheers, with fans celebrating the well-deserved victory. The sight of Shah Rukh and Gambhir sharing an emotional moment added to the poignancy of the occasion, highlighting the strong bond that exists within the KKR family.
Gambhir, who captained the franchise to IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 and now the team’s mentor, played a pivotal role in guiding the team to victory. His strategic insights, leadership skills, and ability to motivate the players were instrumental in KKR’s successful campaign.
Talking about the match, Mitchell Starc bowled a sensational opening spell to help KKR bowl out Hyderabad for IPL’s lowest total of 113 in a final.
Australia’s left-arm quick Starc returned figures of 2-14 to live up to his top billing in the world’s most lucrative T20 tournament.
Starc went to Kolkata for a record $2.98 million in the December auction and ended the IPL with two stellar performances, including a match-winning 3-34 in the first play-off to hammer the same opponent.
Kolkata’s batsmen had it easy and despite Sunil Narine’s early departure, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who made 39, and Venkatesh Iyer, on 52 not out, helped the team home with 9.3 overs to spare after a partnership of 91.
