After Parineeti Chopra, Randeep Hooda reveals the true purpose of Bollywood parties: ‘I would get drunk aur pata nahi kis ko kya bola hoga’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

After Parineeti Chopra, Randeep Hooda recently shared his thoughts on the true purpose of Bollywood parties, stating that they are primarily for discussing work and making connections.
In a recent interview with Bharti TV, Randeep admitted, “Party toh bahot karte hain, par ab apne ghar pe karte hain” (he parties hard, but only with his friends and at home).Reflecting on his early career, Randeep recalled attending Bollywood parties where he would get drunk and speak his heart out, missing out on networking opportunities that could lead to new projects.
“I would attend a lot of these parties in the beginning. Mujhe bahut baad me pata chala ki yeh to networking parties hoti aur main wahan party karne jata tha” (I realized much later that people attended these parties to build networks. I just went to party). He added, “Pata nahin kis ko kya bola hoga?” (I treated them like real parties, got drunk, and talked my mouth off).
The Swatantra Veer Savarkar actor reminisced about how industry insiders would use these parties to interact with influential people, hoping to secure new projects. “I later realized that you’re not supposed to do that. You just have to hold a drink in your hand, exchange pleasantries, and talk about who is working on what project. Hum toh do teen taka tak laga lete the aur kisko kya bola woh toh Ram jaane?” (I would quickly chug down two-three drinks. God knows what I may have told them at the party).
He concluded, “Bollywood parties are just networking parties and not real parties because you party with your real friends who you’re comfortable with.”

‘It’s Heartbreaking…’ Bollywood Actor Randeep Hooda Takes On Politicisation On Savarkar Movie

A couple of months ago, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Parineeti Chopra discussed the challenges of lobbying in Bollywood and how actors who don’t socialize with other stars and producers often miss out on significant films. She mentioned that getting work in Bollywood isn’t solely based on merit or acting skills, but also on being part of certain cliques and camps. She admitted that she often isn’t present at the right places at the right times and isn’t frequently photographed by the paparazzi. Additionally, she confessed that her public relations efforts are lacking.

Parineeti explained that she doesn’t attend dinners, lunches, or parties where work opportunities are often created and roles are discussed. She expressed her desire for directors and producers to call her for her talent and willingness to work hard. Reflecting on her career, she highlighted that she won a National Award for her role in “Ishaqzaade” 10 years ago and asserted that she is still the same dedicated actor.
