Additionally, surpassing his fellow teammate Virat Kohli, Sharma now holds the record for the most runs scored in T20Is.
In terms of captaincy, Sharma has led India to 48 wins in the T20I format, a record he shares with Babar Azam, who also has 48 wins as captain of the Pakistan team.
Sharma’s leadership was particularly notable during India’s recent 24-run victory over Australia, a match that was his 60th as captain and included all forms of wins, such as those decided by Super Overs.
Rohit Sharma’s recent performance has marked a return to form, with the batsman showcasing his skills at a crucial time. Over 157 matches, Sharma has compiled a total of 4,165 runs, achieving an average of 32.03 and a strike rate of 140.75.
This achievement has placed him at the forefront of T20I run-scorers, with Babar Azam now trailing at second place with 4,145 runs from 123 matches, and Virat Kohli at third with 4,103 runs from the same number of matches as Azam.
