Ananya Panday recently shared her wish to work with producer-turned-filmmaker Karan Johar. She made her acting debut with Punit Malhotra’s ‘Student Of The Year 2‘ in 2019. After working with several filmmakers in different movies, she recently collaborated with Vikramaditya Motwane in ‘CTRL‘. However, Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are her exciting names to tick off in the future.
In an interview with PTI, Ananya expressed her desire to be the heroine in a Karan Johar movie, mentioning that she had a chance to play a small part in Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.However, the actress expects a full-fledged role in his directorial venture.

She also took Zoya Akhtar’s name, with whom she worked in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ (which she wrote and produced). Ananya wants to be in a film directed by Zoya Akhtar. Finally, she had Sanjay Leela Bhansali on her list. Ananya shared, “I would love to work with Sanjay. He’s like an all-time favorite.” When asked about the genres she hopes to explore in her film career, Ananya expressed her interest in trying her hand at a romantic movie, a horror film, and a biopic next.
“I’ve always been open and willing to work with these directors. The opportunities I’m getting now are a lot more fruitful and satisfying as an actor,” she stated.
In the same chat, Ananya mentioned that she wouldn’t change anything about her acting journey, despite facing trolling and negativity. The ‘Call Me Bae’ actress acknowledged that she has grown and evolved with each film.
