Annu Kapoor seeks police protection as the team of ‘Hamare Baarah’ gets death threats post the teaser launch | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



A few days ago, the makers of ‘Hamare Baraah’ dropped the film’s teaser which deals with a strong issue of the rising population. The movie also highlights the kind of problems which women go through, because of it. While the aim of the movie is to highlight a strong social issue, the team began receiving death threats. Hence, Annu Kapoor has now seeked police protection.
The veteran actor had taken to his social media and said, “The film advocates women empowerment and talks about the rights of women. First watch the film and then give your verdict. People have the freedom to speak their minds on social media but they should not abuse. Don’t abuse or give death threats. We will not be scared by these things. We made an issue-based film solely to talk about women empowerment. It talks about the issue of growing population and our intention is not to hurt the sentiments of any caste or community.”
The movie stars Manoj Joshi and Paritosh Tripathi as well and is made by Kamal Chandra. A poster of the movie had released before the teaser and people have really gotten curious about it. Earlier, the title was ‘Hum Do Hamare Baarah‘, however the CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification) changed the title. The movie also stars Ashwini Kalsekar and Rahul Bagga in prominent roles.
‘Hamare Baarah’ is set to release on June 7.
