Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s ‘Animal‘ starring Ranbir Kapoor which released in December 2023, is still the talk of the town for various reasons. The film was loved by some people and largely criticised by many for being misogynistic. Meanwhile, the violence in the movie was also not like by some people. But ‘Animal’ brought in those huge numbers at the box office and its popularity just cannot be denied.In a recent interview, Arshad was asked about the film and here’s what he had to say.
The ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ actor said that he enjoyed watching the movie in an interview with Unfiltered by Samdish. He further added, “Maine wo duniya dekhi nahin. It is a figment of a man’s imagination perhaps. I enjoyed watching it.” The actor also clarified that films are for entertainment purposes, not educational purposes. For instance, he said, ‘The audience watched all the Marvel movies like ‘Avengers‘ and it created a world that we have not seen before.’
In an earlier interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arshad had said that he loved ‘Animal’ but may not be willing to do a film like that. He had also said no to ‘Grand Masti’ when he was offered the film as he doesn’t want to do sex comedies. He further explained his point about liking ‘Animal’ and not wanting to do it, by saying, “I like watching p*orn but I don’t want to do it.”
On work front, Arshad will be seen next in ‘Jolly LLB 3’ and ‘Welcome To The Jungle’.
