Ajay Devgn and Tabu‘s new film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha had a disappointing start at the box office and saw little improvement over the weekend. Despite being a word-of-mouth film, its growth was limited, partly due to an initial boost from a BOGO (Buy One Get One) offer on the first day. The film saw a slight increase in collections on Sunday but still faced significant challenges in attracting audiences.
According to Sacnilk, the Neeraj Pandey-directed film is expected to earn around Rs 2.75 crore on its second day, with an overall occupancy of just 13 percent in theatres. The film’s total earnings for the opening weekend stand at Rs 6.75 crore.
Comparatively, these figures are lower than Ajay Devgn’s films from around 20 years ago, such as Apharan and Qayamat.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Saiee Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari in the lead. The film was previously slated to release on July 5 but the makers postponed its release at the time.
The film also marks another collaboration for Ajay and Tabu, who have previously worked on a number of films including the Drishyam franchise, Bholaa and De De Pyaar De.
