Bodies of 3 Kuwait fire victims arrive in UP | India News – Times of India


VARANASI: The bodies of three UP natives killed in the Kuwait building fire arrived in their hometowns on Saturday.
The victims — Praveen Madhav Singh of Varanasi and Angad Gupta and Jairam Gupta of Gorakhpur — were among 45 Indians killed in a massive blaze at a labour accommodation in Kuwait’s Mangaf on June 12.

The last rites of Praveen, 40, were performed at the Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi on Saturday afternoon.He had been working in a steel factory in Kuwait for the last 15 years. His father Jaiprakash Singh works in a coal mine in Jharkhand while his wife and two daughters live in Varanasi.
Angad Gupta, 48, and Jairam Gupta, 38, had been working in the Gulf country for a decade. Angad had been in Kuwait for the last eight years and worked in a mall. Angad was the sole breadwinner of the family. He is survived by his wife, Reeta and their two children.
