The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important notice regarding the registration of students in Classes 9 and 11. As per the notice, the registration of students in Classes 9 and 11 is currently ongoing, and the registration window will close on October 16, 2024. Therefore, schools are requested to ensure that the registration of these students is completed on time.
The official notice reads, ‘The schools are directed to ensure that the registration of 100% of students of classes IX and XI studying in their schools is done.No student remained unregistered.’
The notice also states that CBSE has decided that from next year, when the LOC is filled, no registration of any student will be done by the board. CBSE has mentioned that it has come to their attention that during the LOC submission, some schools informed them that a few of their students were left out of registration in the previous year due to the following reasons:
- The student was not well and was hospitalized
- The clerk has mistakenly left the student
- Technical error
- Name was deleted
- The student was not at the station, etc.
The official notice states that such mistakes are not expected from the schools and will be viewed seriously.
