CUET UG result 2024 delayed: This is how it’s going to affect students this year – Times of India



Lakhs of students are still waiting for the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release information regarding the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024 results. The agency is yet to release the final answer key for CUET UG 2024. Based on the final answer key, NTA will prepare and announce the CUET UG 2024 results.
Initially, the NTA was supposed to announce CUET UG 2024 results by June 30.However, due to controversies surrounding NEET UG 2024, there was a delay in the schedule. On July 7 2024, the NTA issued the provisional answer key for CUET UG 2024, and candidates were given the opportunity to raise objections till July 9.
Several candidates raised concerns about alleged discrepancies in the provisional answer sheets, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their doubts. Despite this, there was no official response from the NTA. Read our report here.
Now, NTA will review the objections and prepare the final answer key for CUET UG 2024. The CUET UG 2024 results will be based on this final answer key.

What impact will the delay have on students?

The delay in the result announcement will directly impact students. A total of 261 universities will accept CUET UG 2024 scores. With the delay in results, the admission process for the new academic year will also be delayed.
According to media reports, the University of Delhi was supposed to begin the new academic year on August 1. The university offers 71,000 undergraduate seats. However, without the CUET UG 2024 results, the university might have to push back the start of the academic year.
This could be the case for other participating universities as well.

Students’ agitation over CUET UG result delay

Several people have taken over X (formally Twitter) over the delay in the CUET UG 2024 results.
Tagging the education minister, Jatin Sharma, an X user, asked why the results are yet to be out. He tweeted, ” Yes, why is the result of CUET (UG) 2024 withheld? Is there some fraud going on in this as well? @NTA_Exams If it is not capable then it should be removed.”

Vivek Kumar Bhatt, a candidate of this NTA exam, tweeted, ‘We have waited for the CUET result, but its already so late… tell us the admission process.”

Replying to a tweet by the National Testing Agency, CUET candidate Devraj Kumar tagged the education minister, and UGC Chairman, among others, and tweeted, “NTA is such a big organisation, at least announce the result date” (sic)

Similarly, Ajit Mahato, an X user, tagged the education minister and tweeted, ” Honorable Education Minister, due to the delay in CUET UG results, many students will not be able to get admission to good colleges because the last date for all has passed.”

On the other hand, Isha, another CUET UG aspirant, tweeted a meme that alludes to the fact that the wait for the CUET UG 2024 results is way too long.

When can we expect CUET UG 2024 Result?

The National Testing Agency has not released the date and time of the CUET UG 2024 Results. However, it is expected that the agency will release the final answer key and result for CUET UG 2024 in the next couple of days.
Once NTA announces CUET UG 2024 Results, candidates can visit the official website, i.e., exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/, to check and download their respective results.

How to check CUET UG 2024 Result?

Candidates can follow these steps to check the CUET UG 2024 result, once the link is active:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CUET UG, i.e, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
Step 2: On the homepage, candidates can click the link that reads, ‘CUET UG 2024 Result’, once it is active.
Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Enter the asked credentials and click on submit.
Step 5: Your ‘CUET UG 2024 Result’ will appear on the screen.
Step 6: Check your result, download it and take a printout of the same for future reference.
NTA conducted the CUET UG 2024 examination on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29, 2024. The examination was held in both; Computer-Based test (CBT) and pen-and-paper modes. For 15 subjects with the highest registration, the exam was conducted in pen-and-paper mode, while the other 48 subjects were held in CBT mode.
