Delhi University first-year UG courses to begin on August 29; CSAS process ongoing – Check details here – Times of India

Delhi University has released the academic calendar for first-year undergraduate courses for the 2024-25 session and announced that classes will commence on August 29, 2024, reports ANI. As per the schedule, the first semester will begin on August 29. Students will have a mid-semester break from October 27 to November 3, 2024, with classes resuming on November 4, 2024.
The University of Delhi will conclude the semester on December 24, and students will be given preparation leaves, reports ANI.The theory examinations will commence on January 6, 2025, and conclude on January 25, 2025.
ANI further reports that the second semester will begin on January 27, 2025, with a mid-semester break from March 9 to 16, 2025. Classes will resume on March 17 and conclude on May 25, 2025. The theory examinations for the second semester will begin on June 7, 2025.

DU admission 2024: CSAS schedule

Delhi University has started the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for undergraduate admissions for the 2024-25 academic session. Candidates who have not yet registered on the CSAS portal can still do so until 4:59 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
For Phase 1, the correct window opened on July 30 and it will close today, August 4, 2024. Candidates can fill in their preference from August 1 to August 7, 2024 and auto lock their preferences till August 9, 2024. On August 11, DU will release the simulated ranks. And the preference change window will open on August 11. On August 16, the university will release the First CSAS allocation list.
First round of allocation and admission:
Acceptance of Allocated Seat: August 16, 2024, till 4:59 pm on August 18, 2024.
Verification and Approval by College: August 16, 2024, till 4:59 pm on August 20, 2024.
Last Date for Online Fee Payment: 4:59 pm on August 21, 2024.
Second round of allocation and admission:
Display of Vacant Seats: 5:00 pm on August 22, 2024.
