Divyendu Sharma, who played the iconic Munna Tripathi in the popular series Mirzapur, recently shared his excitement for the film version. Speaking at 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Divyendu says with joy in his voice that he is eagerly looking forward to the film version and gives fans a sneak peek of what is in store for ‘Mirzapur: The Film.’
Divyendu said that the news of the film adaptation has created quite a buzz among the fans as they are desperately waiting to see their favorite characters on the big screen. The actor has revealed that the announcement was shot in a great dramatic fashion.
According to him, this made him feel not only happy for himself but for the fans, followers, and friends who have closely connected with the Mirzapur world. He also underlined the fact that the movie will be a larger-than-life experience, promising that it will give an unrivaled thrill ride for the audience.
While details of the plot are still under wraps, Divyendu teased that fans can expect a lot of excitement and action, and he describes it as “bhaukaal”, a term used to indicate chaos and power, which perfectly captures the essence of Mirzapur.
The actor also mentioned that the shooting of the film is to start by 2025, and managing the large ensemble cast in the project will be a challenge to the production team.
