NEW DELHI: Haryana chief electoral officer (CEO) on Wednesday issued show cause notice to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Mohan Lal Badoli after the Election Commission of India (ECI) over usage of a child in campaign video.
The video was shared on social media platform X by BJP Haryana handle. Using children in election-related activities and campaigning is violative of ECI guidelines.
A show cause notice has been issued by ECI CEO Haryana to Badoli for immediate corrective action.The ECI also sought a reply from him by 6pm on Thursday.
