Edu ministry adviser calls for stop to forced resignations – Times of India



DHAKA: Amid widespread criticism and disturbing videos on social media platforms of incidents of forced resignations, the Bangladesh interim govt‘s education and planning affairs adviser, Wahiduddin Mahmud, has called for a stop to such pressure tactics, reports AKM Moinuddin.
“If forced resignations create unrest, the administration may collapse. The new posting and recruitment process is going on,” he said while talking to officials at the ministry on Sunday.Mahmud laid emphasis on refraining from using force to oust people from educational institutions, adding that action would be taken only on credible complaints. People from the minority communities were allegedly among the victims of forced resignations.
