Fawad Khan expected to return to Bollywood with Ridhi Dogra | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was initially rumoured to make his Bollywood comeback alongside Vaani Kapoor after the 2016 film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. However, recent reports indicate that he will actually be appearing in a theatrical project with Ridhi Dogra instead.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, the two will be cast in a romcom drama; the supporting actors are yet to be cast.The paperwork was only recently completed, and the duo have been cast as romantic interests. The director’s name is still kept under wraps, while the shoot of the untitled project is yet to take off as the two are busy with other commitments. It is expected that the shoot will begin by the end of this year. The makers plan to release the film by next year’s end or the beginning of 2026.
Dogra and Khan will not be filming any scenes in India, as all shooting schedules are planned abroad. The project is set to be filmed in various locations, including New York and London, aligning with the theme of their romantic comedy.
Fawad reunited with Sanam Saeed in the web series ‘Barzakh‘, which tells the story of a family coming together for their father’s wedding. The series received positive reviews in India, and fans were thrilled to see Fawad and Sanam together again after ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’.
On the other hand, Ridhi has appeared in films like ‘Tiger 3‘ and ‘Jawan’, featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. She will next be seen in ‘The Sabarmati Report’, alongside Vikrant Massey. The film is based on true events related to the Sabarmati Express and also stars Raashii Khanna.
