From ‘ball boy’ to ‘hitting partners’: Vivek Ramaswamy shares Andre Agassi’s sage advice. Watch | Off the field News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Retired American tennis player Andre Agassi is widely regarded as one of the greatest in the sport’s history. Known for his powerful baseline game, charismatic personality, and distinctive style, Agassi’s career was marked by both incredible success and personal struggles.
Agassi won eight Grand Slam singles titles during his career, including the Australian Open (4 times), the French Open (once), Wimbledon (once), and the US Open (twice). He is one of the few players to achieve a career Grand Slam, winning all four major tournaments. He won the gold medal in men’s singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Born to Indian immigrant parents, American entrepreneur, author, and political figure Vivek Ramaswamy gained significant attention for his work in the biotechnology industry and his outspoken views on politics, culture, and the economy.
Ramaswamy entered the political arena with a focus on issues like free speech, corporate influence on politics, and what he sees as the dangers of “woke” culture. In 2023, he announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the 2024 US presidential election, positioning himself as a proponent of conservative values and a critic of establishment politics, but suspended his campaign in January 2024, after finishing fourth in the Iowa caucuses.
On Sunday, Ramaswamy took to his X account and posted a picture with Agassi on a tennis court with the caption: “Great to welcome a legend, champ, and one of my childhood heroes to Columbus today. Learned a lot from him on court, even more off court.”

A while later Ramaswamy posted a video playing alongside Agassi as his hitting partner saying: “I used to be a ball boy for @AndreAgassi , we were hitting partners today. His sage advice: the longest distance between two points is that between your mind & your heart. Bend the former to meet the latter.”

The video underlines the fact that Agassi’s impact on tennis extends beyond his on-court success, influencing future generations with his style, determination, and dedication to the sport.
