The final will see Gautam Gambhir‘s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) face off against Pat Cummins‘ Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a thrilling encounter in Chennai. Gambhir, known for his strategic acumen, will be pitted against Cummins, who has established himself as a formidable leader in world cricket.
Gambhir’s mind, constantly racing with strategies, faces Cummins, a captain who has achieved remarkable success, including winning the Ashes, the World Test Championship, and the ODI World Cup in just six months. A victory in the IPL would be a perfect addition to Cummins’ stellar year.
KKR captain Shreyas Iyer, playing in his second final, finds himself between the cricketing powers of Gambhir and Cummins. Iyer’s team is favoured to win in Chennai, especially after their strategic victory over SRH in the first qualifier at Motera.
SRH’s impressive win over Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier has boosted their confidence, but it is understood that they will face a tough challenge against KKR’s spin duo of Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine.

KKR own a roster of match-winners, including Chakravarthy, Narine, Andre Russell, and Rinku Singh. Gambhir’s leadership and the team’s balanced lineup make them formidable opponents.
Despite lacking star power, SRH’s uncapped talents like Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Reddy have performed admirably. Their spinners, Abhishek and Shahbaz Ahmed, have also played crucial roles in their victories.
The final promises an exciting battle, with KKR’s young pacers needing to adapt to the challenging Chennai pitch. SRH’s batsmen will be crucial in setting a competitive target.
