Poster Drawing Ideas
At midnight on August 15, 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had given his now iconic speech ‘Tryst With Destiny’. “Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny. Now the time has come when we shall redeem our pledge – not wholly or in full measure – but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance,” Nehru had said to the nation from the Red Fort and hoisted the Indian flag. Since then, every year the Prime Minister of India follows this tradition and hoists the Indian flag at the Red Fort in India. A poster depicting this scene of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru reading his iconic speech or hoisting the Indian flag would be a great idea for a poster.
One can also simply draw the Indian flag and a white dove– which is a symbol of peace. You can add a few slogans by freedom fighters to it.
Another poster idea for Independence Day could be drawing India’s map, filled with citizens of different religions, gender, and age groups– all proudly and respectfully holding the Indian flag.
