The selection and examination criteria are as follows:
Qualifying Tests
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will invite a sufficient number of candidates based on their merit in the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for the Physical Measurement Test and then for the Physical Screening Test, both of which will be of a qualifying nature only. The HSSC may do this in several batches as necessary to shortlist qualified candidates equal to four times the number of advertised posts in each category for the Knowledge Test.
Pattern of Examination
All questions will be compulsory, and the question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi). An offline (OMR-based) written examination for the Knowledge Test will be held for recruitment for the post of Constable. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The total number of questions will be 100, with each question carrying a weightage of 0.945 marks. If a candidate does not mark any of the five options for a question, 0.945 marks per unattempted question will be deducted. Candidates must fill in one option out of the five given. An extra five minutes will be provided to mark the fifth option if the candidate does not know the answer. The total time allowed for the paper will be 105 minutes, including the additional five minutes.
