IIT JAM 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for IIT JAM 2025, candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates completing their degree in 2025 are also eligible, provided they submit proof by September 2025 (tentative).
Educational Qualification: Previously, a minimum of 55% aggregate (or 5.5 CGPA/CPI) was required for General/ Other Backward Classes (OBC), Non-Creamy Layer (NCL)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates and 50% (or 5.0 CGPA/CPI) for reserved categories. This requirement was removed in 2022, and now only a relevant bachelor’s degree is necessary.
Physical Fitness: A physical fitness certificate is required at the time of admission. Admission may be denied if a candidate is found unfit to pursue the chosen science course.
