India has voted to elect NDA govt with record numbers: PM Modi tweets after exit polls | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed his gratitude to voters and exuded confidence that results of 2024 Lok Sabha elections would reflect a decisive mandate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
“India has voted! A heartfelt thank you to all those who exercised their franchise. Their active participation is the cornerstone of our democracy.Their commitment and dedication ensure that the democratic spirit thrives in our nation,” said PM Modi in a series of heartfelt messages, emphasizing the significance of voter participation in strengthening democracy.

Confident in the electorate’s choice, the Prime Minister said, “I can say with confidence that the people of India have voted in record numbers to reelect the NDA government. They have seen our track record and the manner in which our work has brought about a qualitative change in the lives of the poor, marginalized, and downtrodden.”
PM Modi’s tweet came after a number of exit polls predicted a hat-trick for the BJP and NDA government. A poll of exit polls indicate that NDA is likely to repeat or may even better its 2019 Lok Sabha numbers.
The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, particularly the INDIA alliance, for failing to resonate with voters. “The opportunistic INDI Alliance failed to strike a chord with the voters. They are casteist, communal, and corrupt. This alliance, aimed to protect a handful of dynasties, failed to present a futuristic vision for the nation. Through the campaign, they only enhanced their expertise on one thing – Modi bashing. Such regressive politics has been rejected by the people,” the PM said in one of his tweets.

PM Modi underscored the transformative impact of the NDA’s policies, which have positioned India as the world’s fifth-largest economy. “At the same time, they have seen how the reforms in India have propelled India to being the fifth-largest global economy. Every scheme of ours has reached the intended beneficiaries without any bias or leakage,” he affirmed, stressing the effectiveness and inclusivity of government programs.
“I would also like to specially appreciate India’s Nari Shakti and Yuva Shakti. Their strong presence at the polls is a very encouraging sign,” Modi noted, applauding the enthusiastic involvement of these demographic groups.
