Junaid Khan shares his father Aamir Khan’s reaction to his debut film Maharaj: ‘He quite liked it’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



Aamir Khan‘s son, Junaid Khan, who is receiving much appreciation for his role in his debut film ‘Maharaj’, revealed his father is quite impressed with his acting in the film. The film is based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case. In the film, Junaid portrays the character of journalist and social reformer Karsandas Mulji, who battled for women’s rights in India.
During an interview with ANI, Junaid Khan revealed that his father, Aamir Khan watched ‘Maharaj’ a while ago. The debutante talked about Aamir’s reaction to ‘Maharaj’ and stated, “He liked the film. He saw the film a few months ago and he quite liked it.”
Junaid Khan also discussed how he gets feedback from Aamir Khan. He shared, “He normally lets us do what we want to do unless we ask for something very specific; then he gives advice.” Junaid Khan further expressed his feelings after the success of ‘Maharaj’ and shared that he is quite “grateful” for the audience’s positive response to the film. “So yeah, it’s quite satisfying; I guess all’s well that ends well,” he said.
Yash Raj Films’ production venture, ‘Maharaj’, saw a slight delay in its distribution. The movie was supposed to be released on June 14, but it was delayed for a while. On June 21, the Gujarat Court granted the film a clean chit after lifting the stay order.
Apart from Junaid Khan, ‘Maharaj’ features Sharvari Wagh, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Shalini Pandey in pivotal roles. Helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra, the film is currently available to stream on Netflix.
On the work front, Junaid Khan is currently busy with the shooting of his next yet-to-be-titled film in Delhi. According to reports, Junaid is shooting the second schedule of the film along with Khushi Kapoor.
