Kangana Ranaut REACTS to Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun’s arrest in stampede case: ‘Everybody should be accountable’ | – Times of India

Actor and MP Kangana Ranaut commented on Allu Arjun’s arrest in the stampede case, emphasising that accountability should apply to everyone, regardless of their social standing. Currently, Allu Arjun has been granted interim bail.
On Agenda Aaj Tak, Kangana expressed her support for Allu Arjun, acknowledging her admiration for him. However, she emphasised that high-profile individuals must still be held accountable for their actions. She highlighted the importance of valuing people’s lives, whether in the context of advertisements or crowded events, stressing that everyone should face consequences when necessary.

The Telangana High Court‘s decision to grant Allu Arjun interim bail brings relief to the actor, who was previously sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a lower court. The case is related to a tragic stampede at the Sandhya Theatre, which resulted in the death of a 39-year-old woman and left her young son seriously injured.

On Friday, the police took Allu Arjun into custody at his home and brought him before a local court. While crowd-related accidents are common in India, often due to poor safety measures, it is unusual for high-profile celebrities to be arrested in such incidents.

Pushpa 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, was released earlier this month. Police reported that Allu Arjun arrived at the theatre at 9:30 PM IST through the main entrance, but neither the theatre management nor the actor’s team had informed anyone about his visit in advance. The actor’s team did not have a separate entry or exit, and no special arrangements were made to manage the crowd. The police stated that the actor’s security team started pushing the crowd, making the situation worse, as a large number of people had already gathered.
