Kill in the first week, earned Rs 11.1 crore and added Rs 3.75 crore over the weekend. And Monday onwards, the film has been outperforming veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.Kill on Monday earned Rs 70 lakh, while Indian 2 earned Rs 35 lakh in Hindi. On Tuesday, Kill minted Rs 80 lakh, while Indian 2 earned Rs 40 lakh and on Wednesday, Kill went on to earn Rs 85 lakh as per early estimates by Sacnilk, while Indian 2 was at Rs 45 lakh. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 17.25 crore, with a very strong possibility of crossing Rs 20 crore mark by the end of the weekend.
The film might face competition Friday onwards from Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk starrer Bad Newz releasing on 19th July.
A Hollywood remake of Kill is in pipeline with rights for it being bought by John Wick’s director Chad Stahelski’s company. Kill is a story of one night’s train journey about a NSG Captain Amrit Rathod, who takes on a group of goons headed by Raghav Juyal trying to loot passengers. One of the passengers is Amrit’s love interest Tullika, played by Tanya Maniktala.
