Maharashtra Bandh announced by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray
The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has announced the Maharashtra Bandh tomorrow to protest against the Badlapur incident.As per the information, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has called it a non-political move and urged everyone to unite for the “safety of our daughters.” Reports further suggest that MVA allies—Congress, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP) headed by Sharad Pawar—will participate in the Maharashtra Bandh.
The Office of Uddhav Thackeray announced the Maharashtra Bandh on the official X (formally Twitter) account and tweeted, “Mahavikas Aghadi has announced Maharashtra Bandh on August 24 to protest against the atrocities in Badlapur. This bandh is not political but to protest and curb the perversity.”
Usually, several schools in the state are closed on Saturdays. Furthermore, due to the Maharashtra Bandh, public transportation is also expected to be affected. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, parents and guardians are advised to check for updates from the respective schools.
