NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police brought back Bibhav Kumar, an aide to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, from Mumbai in connection with the alleged assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. Kumar had been taken to Mumbai the previous day to recover data from his iPhone, which he had allegedly formatted before his arrest.
Kumar is currently in a five-day police custody in connection with the alleged assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the Delhi chief minister’s residence.The police believe Kumar may have transferred data from his phone to another person or device in Mumbai before formatting it.
Forensic examination is underway on Kumar’s phones, laptop, and CCTV recordings from Kejriwal’s house. With Kumar’s police custody ending on Thursday, investigators are working diligently to gather all pertinent evidence related to the case.
