Man thrashed to death, 2nd case in 3 weeks in western UP | Lucknow News – Times of India


SHAMLI: A 31-year-old man died in the Jalalabad area of UP’s Shamli after he was allegedly thrashed by people on Friday. Police registered a case of “culpable homicide” against three brothers based on the dead man’s family’s complaint. However, the postmortem examination report showed “no injury marks on the body”.
People allegedly beat Mohammad Firoz after he “entered a house in an intoxicated state“.The men of the house then thrashed him before handing him over to police, who then called his family to take him home.
Firoz later died at home. This comes just 18 days after a man in Aligarh was killed by a mob on suspicion of theft on June 18.
