Massive fire reports in Gurgaon plant incorrect: Maruti Suzuki – Times of India


Maruti Suzuki has clarified that recent reports of a massive fire at its Gurgaon plant are incorrect. A bunch of videos has gone viral on social media platforms claiming a massive fire inside the Maruti Suzuki Gurgaon plant. In these videos, the hoarding of the brand can be seen on a gate. However, Maruti Suzuki has denied the occurrence of any fire inside its Gurgaon plant.

A spokesperson told TOI Auto that said that fire inside our plant are totally incorrect and we can confirm there’s no fire incident inside our plant. Also, Mr Rahul Bharti, Executive Director Corporate Affairs, MSIL confirmed that the fire incident occurred in a neighboring factory, not the Maruti Suzuki plant. The fire tenders were promptly deployed, and the fire has now been extinguished.
