NEW DELHI: Congress took a jibe at the central government after the NEET-UG counselling was postponed and said that the “non-biological PM” is adding proof to their demonstrated “incompetence and insensitivity.”
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh took his X and said, “The whole NEET-UG issue is getting worse by the day. The non-biological PM and his biological Education Minister are adding further proof to their demonstrated incompetence and insensitivity.The future of lakhs of our youth is simply unsafe in their hands.”

Earlier today, the official sources said that the NEET-UG Counselling was deferred until further notice.
Contradicting to the recent decision, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to defer the counselling for the controversy-ridden NEET-UG 2024 examination, stating that it is not an “open and shut” process.
The top court issued notices to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Centre, and others on a petition seeking cancellation of the exam over alleged irregularities in holding it on May 5.
The apex court led by CJI DY Chandrachud along with Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra will hear various NEET UG 2024 pleas on July 8.
