Once struggling to walk properly, Vinod Kambli provides health update in a viral video, says… | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli recently provided a positive health update following concerns about his well-being after a viral video showed him struggling to walk.
In a new clip, Kambli reassured his fans and well-wishers that he is “fit and fine.” The video, reportedly from a gathering with his schoolmate Ricky Couto and First Class Umpire Marcus Couto, showed Kambli in good spirits as he addressed his health.
“I’m good,” said Kambli, giving a thumbs-up to the camera. “By the grace of God, I’m surviving. I’m fit and fine. I’m ready to bat at No. 3,” he joked, recalling his cricketing days. “I’ll hit the spinners outside the ground like we used to play at Shivaji Park!”

The recent footage has come as a relief to Kambli’s fans, especially after the previous video left many concerned about his physical condition.
In that earlier clip, Kambli, as quoted by several media outlets, appeared unsteady, requiring assistance from bystanders to walk.

Social media erupted with speculations, with some attributing his struggles to health issues and others suggesting he might have been intoxicated.
Many fans, distressed by the footage, urged Sachin Tendulkar, Kambli’s longtime friend and former teammate, to step in.
Kambli, known for his explosive batting in the 1990s, was a key figure in Indian cricket. He rose to prominence with his domestic and international performances, including his memorable double centuries during India’s Test series win against England in 1993. However, injuries and inconsistencies affected his cricketing career, preventing him from achieving his full potential.
