Fans of Telugu star Allu Arjun recently rampaged the office of a YouTube channel, Red TV, in Hyderabad, expressing their outrage over a series of negative videos about the actor. The videos included misleading thumbnails and unfounded claims about Allu Arjun and his family, which angered his loyal fanbase.
The incident occurred on November 11, when fans gathered at the Red TV office to demand an apology and the removal of the objectionable content. One particularly offensive thumbnail depicted Allu Arjun lying in a hospital bed with the caption “Allu Arjun Struggling Between Life and Death,” which fans found deeply offensive.
The All India Allu Arjun Fans & Welfare Association released statements on social media, about their concerns about what they perceived as a negative campaign against the actor. They criticized the channel for dragging in his wife, Sneha Reddy, and their children into the controversy.
They wrote, “We have been following RED TV closely for the past few months and monitoring the way they are running a negative campaign against @alluarjun garu. Recently, they crossed all boundaries by involving his wife Sneha Reddy garu, and his children, and even posting thumbnails suggesting harm to Allu Arjun garu. To make social media a safe place, we visited their office to request, demand, and warn them to delete all these videos and stop such actions immediately. LET’S MAKE SOCIAL MEDIA A SAFE PLACE”
During the protest, fans confronted the channel’s staff, demanding explanations for the videos. After some tense moments, Red TV employees issued an apology on video, stating that the thumbnails were posted by mistake and expressing regret to Allu Arjun and his fans. They assured that such incidents would not happen again.
Currently, Allu Arjun is preparing for the release of the highly awaited, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on December 5, 2024.
