Pratik Gandhi to shoot final leg of his new espionage series set in the 70s after wrapping up Hansal Mehta’s Gandhi | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



After a lengthy shoot for Hansal Mehta‘s upcoming series Gandhi, Pratik Gandhi is now wrapping up the final stages of his new series, which is being hailed as one of the most ambitious projects. The series, set in the 1970s, is a fictional espionage story inspired by real-life events, with Pratik playing an Indian agent, according to our sources.
Having previously lost weight for his role in Gandhi, Pratik had to quickly get back in shape for this new series, but he managed it without much trouble.
The series features a strong ensemble cast, including Tillotama Shome, Rajat Kapoor, Sunny Hinduja, and Kritika Kamra. Produced by Bombay Fables, the series is directed by Aditya Nimbhalkar and showrun by Bhavesh Mandalia.
Filming took place across various locations in Europe and different parts of India.

Talking about Gandhi, Pratik and Hansal Mehta have shot for the series in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and London. The upcoming show is based on historian and author Ramachandra Guha’s books – Gandhi before India and Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World.

It will feature actor Bhamini Oza, who is married to Pratik Gandhi, in the role of Kasturba Gandhi. Pratik and Mehta have previously worked together in the superhit show Scam 1992 and the Baai segment of Modern Love: Mumbai.
