As Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu get ready to take over our screens with their spy adventure series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny‘, the duo received a special shoutout from fellow on-screen secret agent Priyanka Chopra.
Varun and Samantha, who kept fans on edge with hints about their big announcement, unveiled the teaser and release date of the new series.To help amp up the excitement around the series, Priyanka, who played the leading role in the US version of the ‘Citadel’ series, shared her thoughts on the Indian version.
Sharing the post on her handle, PeeCee showed her support by dropping multiple collision emojis. She also tagged the lead stars, director Raj & DK, and the Russo Brothers, giving a shout-out to the team.
The makers of ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ released a new poster featuring Varun and Sam ready for action with guns locked and loaded.
The teaser which was also released today, offered a glimpse of all the action set to unfold in this series amidst picturesque locations around the country. Samantha compared the action scenes in the series to a dance routine saying, “Action felt like a romantic song because there was so much sync.”
Varun further revealed that they have an 11–12 minutes, one-take action sequence in the show.
The series also stars Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in key roles. Directed by Raj & DK, ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ will premiere on November 7, 2024. This release comes just 1 month after the release of ‘Citadel: Diana’, the Italian spin-off of the series that will hit screens on October 10.
