Almost a week after the release of the film, Ranveer and Deepika headed out for a movie date at a local theatre in the city. Twinning and winning shades of black, the couple was all smiles as they headed in for the screening, looking giddy with excitement.
After the screening, the star couple walked out of the theatre holding hands and smiling from ear-to-ear. The proud hubby even joined the paparazzi in cheering for Deepika and her performance in the film. Gesturing that the film was ‘excellent’; when Ranveer was asked how he liked the movie, he said, “Too Good!”
Singh later took to his social media handles to express his admiration for the film and gave his pregnant wife a special shout out, calling her portrayal a blend of “poetry and power.”
“Kalki 2898 AD – A grand cinematic spectacle! That’s what big screen cinema is all about!” Singh began his review. He highlighted the film’s technical excellence saying, “! That’s what big screen cinema is all about! An unexpected level of finess in technical execution. The very best in Indian cinema. Congrats to Nagi Sir and team!”
The film features a star-studded cast, including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan. Singh, in his review, gave each star a special shout-out, calling Prabhas the “Rebel Star” and hailing Kamal Haasan as “forever supreme”. He wrote, “Rebel Star rocks! @actorprabhas Ulaganayagan is forever supreme! @ikamalhaasan And if you are a die-hard Amitabh Bachhan fan like me… you just can’t miss this! @amitabhbachchan.”
However, it was his tribute to his wife Deepika that stood out the most. “As for my baby @deepikapadukone… You elevate every moment with your grace and dignity. Such poignancy, such poetry, such power. You are beyond compare.. I love you,” Singh wrote, sharing his admiration and love for his wife.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which was one of the most awaited films of the year, has gone on to create several box office records. The film which won critical acclaim, has also been raking in the big bucks at the domestic and international box offices. After just its first weekend, the film is already on its way to setting a new record and becoming the highest-grossing film of the year.
