NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, focusing on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict following visit to Kyiv.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Discussed measures to further strengthen Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. Exchanged perspectives on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and my insights from the recent visit to Ukraine.Reiterated India’s firm commitment to support an early, abiding and peaceful resolution of the conflict.”

PM Modi’s dialogue with Putin follows his recent visit to Ukraine and India’s continued efforts to advocate for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
A day earlier, PM Modi also spoke to US President Joe Biden exchanging views on various regional and global issues, including the situation in Ukraine.
PM Modi said, ” I reiterated India’s full support for early return of peace and stability. We also discussed the situation in Bangladesh and stressed on the need for early restoration of normalcy, and ensuring the safety and security of minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh.”
