Rhea Chakraborty is making a fresh start after facing public backlash. She launched a new podcast, Chapter 2, which she describes as a reflection of her current mindset. Following a political controversy and intense media scrutiny after her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death in 2020, and subsequent jail time, Rhea feels she is finally reclaiming control of her story.
Rhea was arrested in September 2020 in connection with a drugs-related case but was granted bail the following month. In her podcast, which featured Sushmita Sen, Rhea clarified that while she is no longer acting in films, she engages in motivational speaking and other activities to earn her income.

The actor explained that the name of her podcast reflects her personal journey. She noted that while people are familiar with her previous experiences, she has evolved through various emotional phases and feels like she is experiencing a rebirth. Her aim is to celebrate this transformation and encourage others to embrace their own “chapter two” and changes in life.

The actor mentioned that the negativity directed at her was not about her personally but about the public persona she had crafted. She explained that people had issues with the image she created, which they interpreted in various ways.

Rhea shared that she feels she has the ‘superpower’ to polarize people the moment she enters a room. She joked that while some may view her with suspicion and negativity, others see her as a courageous and strong individual. This awareness has helped her realize that it doesn’t matter if people love or dislike her; what’s important is staying true to herself.
In March of this year, a special court in Mumbai, designated under the NDPS Act, granted Rhea Chakraborty permission to travel abroad for a brief vacation in Thailand with her family.
