NEW DELHI: As Team India continues its three match T20I series against Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma, the team’s Test and ODI captain, is making waves off the field. The Indian skipper, who is currently on a break following the Test series win against Bangladesh, was spotted in Mumbai during his downtime.
After India convincingly won the first T20I match against Bangladesh, chasing down 128 runs in just 11.5 overs with seven wickets in hand, they will play the second match on Tuesday in Delhi.
Rohit, along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, has retired from the shortest format after India’s victorious T20 World Cup campaign earlier this year.On a recent outing, Rohit was seen driving through Mumbai’s busy streets, when a fan had a memorable encounter with him at a red light stop.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, a female fan excitedly approached Rohit’s car to click pictures. A friend of the fan informed Rohit that it was her birthday. Rohit, with his trademark smile, wished her warmly with a handshake, making the fan’s day.

Rohit’s approachable nature continues to win hearts as he connects with his fans even off the field. This isn’t the first time the cricketer has been spotted engaging with fans in Mumbai, with social media often abuzz with such sightings.
