Saif Ali Khan praises Rahul Gandhi as a ‘brave politician’: ‘He has turned things around in a very interesting way’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Saif Ali Khan recently praised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, recognizing him as one of the ‘brave’ politicians in the country. While promoting his new film Devara Part 1, Saif expressed admiration for politicians who demonstrate bravery and honesty.
When asked to choose among Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi, Saif highlighted Gandhi’s impressive reform in public perception.“I think they are all brave politicians. I think what Rahul Gandhi has done has been very impressive. There was a point when people were disrespecting things he was saying and doing. And I think he has turned that around by working very hard in a very interesting way,” he told India Today at a recent event.
Saif’s comments quickly gained traction on social media, particularly among Rahul Gandhi’s supporters, with the video going viral on Twitter. Interestingly, Saif portrayed a character similar to Rahul Gandhi in the web series Taandav, where he played the heir apparent to a Prime Minister.

In addition to his praise for Gandhi, Saif addressed the backlash surrounding the controversial film Adipurush, describing it as “a little unsettling.” He noted the need for caution in storytelling, especially regarding sensitive topics like religion, stating, “I don’t know how real a problem it is. I know a lot of people are not free to say or do whatever they want. We all have to police ourselves slightly and be a bit careful; otherwise, there could be trouble. There are certain areas, like religion, that you need to stay away from. There are many stories that we can tell. We are not here to create trouble.”
