Some clips from the pre-release event of the web show surfaced online, leading to speculation that Sharmin was being disrespectful towards her co-stars, particularly Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.

Sharmin clarified that there is no conflict or ill feelings between her and her co-stars. She expressed gratitude for their support, acknowledging their courage in defending her. She found it humbling to learn that her co-stars feel this way about her.

She added that some co-stars personally reached out to her, but their public support made her feel so moved that she wanted to hug them.

The actress also acknowledged that her previous interviews were misinterpreted. She shared that the backlash has taught her valuable lessons on how to handle situations and highlighted that sometimes, people fail to appreciate you for who you truly are.
Unsure whether the experience is positive or negative, Sharmin now takes great care before speaking. She emphasized that she cannot allow this to define her and must move forward without fixation.
The 28-year-old explained that the incident was intended as a roast, which might have come across as too aggressive and could have been toned down. She noted that it was taken out of context, emphasizing that her relationship with Aditi is quite different.

Sharmin explained that Aditi and she frequently look out for each other, often spending time together both on and off set. She mentioned that Aditi was one of the most proactive in calling and checking on her to ensure she was okay throughout the month. Segal noted that the internet misrepresents their relationship, emphasizing that she has only respect for Aditi, whom she affectionately calls Bibbojaan.

In the same interview, Sharmin shared that Richa Chadha checked on her daily and made efforts to clarify that the interviews were taken out of context, noting that she was present during the discussions. Earlier this month, Richa had written a detailed note defending Sharmin against the criticism.
