Sherlyn Chopra reveals she can never become a mother naturally due to SLE: ‘Getting pregnant could be life-threatening’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Sherlyn Chopra recently opened up about her health condition that prevents her from becoming a mother naturally. She shared that she has an autoimmune disorder called Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which caused her to experience kidney failure in 2021.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sherlyn explained, “My doctor told me that to keep this health disorder under control, I will need to take medication for the rest of my life. I take it three times a day – morning, afternoon, and evening. They also advised that I should never contemplate getting pregnant because it could be life-threatening for both the baby and the mother.”
Despite the challenges, Sherlyn expressed her strong desire to be a mother. She said she is exploring options available in India and hopes to have at least three or four children. She added, “I’ve thought about it a bit. I want every name to start with an ‘A.’ I’m obsessed with names that start with ‘A.’ I’ll tell you more very soon.”

Talking about her maternal instincts, Sherlyn said, “I think I was actually born to be a mother because whenever I think about children, I feel an indescribable happiness. Even before they arrive, I’m so happy. Just imagine how much joy I’ll feel after they’re here!”
She also plans to balance motherhood with her career, stating, “I’ll continue working, but I’ll carry them along with me. Initially, I’d hire a nanny who could take care of the kids in my presence.”

Sherlyn made headlines in 2012 by becoming the first Indian woman to pose for Playboy magazine, a move that garnered both admiration and controversy. This bold step cemented her reputation as a fearless and outspoken figure in the industry.
She began her career in Bollywood in the early 2000s, appearing in films such as Time Pass (2005), Dosti: Friends Forever (2005), and Raqeeb (2007). She also dabbled in television, participating in the reality show Bigg Boss Season 3 in 2009 and later, ventured into the digital space, starring in short films and web content.
