Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 opened its advance booking on Friday and has seen an average response, which is expected to grow with each passing day. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the movie has sold over 2000 tickets for 1238 shows across the country, earning Rs 17.35 lakh, alongwith blocked seats. For its first day, Stree 2 has seen maximum response from Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Delhi markets.
Promising that Stree 2 will be bigger and better, Rajkummar had shared, “You will get to see more comedy than in ‘Stree’.You’ve probably seen it in the trailer… It is very funny. It’s the same world and the same people. There is a lot of comedy and a bit of horror. Stree received so much love from people that we decided to expand the world. So, we made it a little more bigger, adventurous, and thrilling.”
Expecting a grand response to the film, Shraddha had quipped, “Main yeh chahati hun ki ‘Stree 2’ film ko bahut zyada pyaar mile kiyunki woh manoranjan mila hai logon ko pahele part se (I want ‘Stree 2’ to receive a lot of love because the first part provided so much entertainment to people. I want families to enjoy the film together).”
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. Apart from Rajkummar and Shraddha, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The film is all set to hit the screens on August 15, clashing with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa.
