Surgery gone wrong: When Priyanka Chopra’s honest confession on her botched nose surgery reminded of its consequences | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Several Bollywood actors have been rumoured or confirmed to have undergone cosmetic procedures to maintain or enhance their appearances. From nose jobs to lip enhancements and facelifts, cosmetic surgery is often seen as a necessity in an industry that places immense pressure on physical beauty. However, not all surgeries go as planned, and the pressure to maintain perfect looks can have emotional and career-related consequences.
In 2023, Priyanka Chopra opened up about a cosmetic procedure she deeply regrets. During an interview on Howard Stern’s radio show, Priyanka shared how a surgery to remove a polyp in her nasal cavity in the early 2000s changed the shape of her nose and left her in a “deep, deep depression.” The Miss World 2000 winner, whose career was on a meteoric rise, found herself losing three major film roles after the surgery, which drastically altered her facial features.

“My face looked completely different,” Priyanka said, describing the impact on both her mental health and career. It took the support of her father, who encouraged her to seek corrective surgery, to regain her confidence. “I was terrified,” she admitted, but her father’s promise to be by her side during the procedure gave her the courage to move forward. “He was like, ‘I will be in the room with you.’ He held my hands through it and helped me build back my confidence,” she added.

Priyanka is just one of many Bollywood celebrities who have spoken about undergoing cosmetic surgery. Some procedures succeed, allowing celebrities to continue their careers with minimal interruption, while others have faced backlash for altering their looks too drastically.
